Best wknd EVER! (being the previous one, cuz this wk’s ain’t over yet)
Honestly, I’m glad I only work 4 days… cuz it’s very exhausting and draining to work with little children. Once again, it’s not so much the yelling as it is the repeating of everything I say x10… -_- and I don’t think I’m meant to work with young kids either, if anything I’m better with teenagers or peers… but ANYWAY!
Wknd started on Friday for me. Met up with the cutie, and we headed out to city in the afternoon. Finally had Pret A Manger for the first time (first eatery we passed by, coming up from the subway, and he went “Oooh *drool*”), it was something between Starbucks and Au Bon Pain… was ok. Everything tasted very fresh, but I didn’t wanna fill up cuz we’d be going to PoCha later on. Our first stop was Build-A-Bear, and that took a LONG time! We looked thru both floors, then took near forever to pick out our animals for each other (mine was a gray cat, his was a blue bear). The stuffing process was even longer because of the way I wanted the dolls to feel, a specific softness, if you will. He eyed me while I was “negotiating” with our bear-stuffer, and we threw funny glances @ each other. The dressing-up part was fun cuz we were trying to figure what clothes looked like ourselves, and then there was the whole Timbs VS Converse mini-argument/confusion. At the end, we both walked away with 2 huge bulky boxes, and since it was raining, an additional big plastic bag over them… If I wasn’t so absorbed in the joy of walking with him, I’d probably notice the glances we caught everytime we weaved thru the crowd with those ridiculous things in our hands xP
The Lego Store was goose-egg for us =T And yes, yelp sucks. We went to the location it was said to be at (Rockefeller Center) and nothing. Both tired from standing/walking/raining, we moved on to Toys R Us. Almost had a cuteness overdose and passed out from the cute Forest Critters fuzzy figurines they had “on sale” (which was still expensive as hell). There were cute @$$ small kitties, bunnies, puppies, hedgehogs, chipmunks, fieldmice, and for some reason Pandas & Elephants (forest critters?!). Ooookay~! Didn’t catch any good deals with Legos or boardgames, and couldn’t even find Kai-Lan O_o oh well… Stopped by Midtown Comics real quick, which by now was already dark. We looked thru some Street Fighter artwork, then headed over to K-town cuz we are now starving.
PoCha32 was more packed than we’d hoped, so we had to park ourselves over @ Paris Baguette for some time (like an hour). Good thing their coffee was great
We chit-chatted for a while, actually we chatted the WHOLE day. And when PoCha called us back, we flew upstairs, ready for budae jjigae to GET IN OUR BELLY~!!! The food was good as usual, he said it was worth the wait
I’m glad. We finished the whole pot then headed back home. It was a great day, had everything, can’t complain~
Day 2 – Saturday Dancing w/Nam Church girls >:D
When we’re not caroling, we’re dancing, heh, wut can I say? When I got there, the first person I saw was #1, then Winnie, and waiting for Nydia, then Pusan who came realli late. We went over ET, Wu Niang, and Derrick Hoh… and as if 3 choreo’s aren’t enuff, wen my other songs in the playlist popped in inbetween, we gave them a good free stylin’, too O_O We went to town with J.Lo.’s On The Floor, Taio Cruz’s Dynamite, Usher’s OMG, and airband-ed the entire Raise Your Glass by Pink. It was nuts! So tiring and so fun! Wish #2 can be there w/us, too, but she has SAT prep class =T The night ended with Fresca A La Crepe, and Boston Market… mmm, yummy! I think next to singing, dancing w/the girls is the best venting, best feeling, and best way to exercise after the work week.
Day 3 – Sunday party!
Aaron booked the party room at Place @ Main for April babies’ bday Elleinn, Nydia & Mikyoung. We danced and sang (SO FREAKIN exhausting to do! I did the whole Derrick Hoh, and I thought I was gonna pass out x_x). Did some of our old Korean choreo’s: Ring Ding Dong, Fire, and picked up a new song I’d like to try next – Lachata~
Went back to the church to do yet MORE dancing, while waiting for Derrick to meet up with us to head to K-town. After dropping the kids off (NOT @ the pool), we went to Food Gallery 32, which is the Korean high-end version of Flushing Mall… Omg, SO clean and SO delicious! I had to get the crepes, of course. We had a good meal, all ate different things, then walked off some fat around Herald Square. Got McCafe, then went to a Loew’s I’ve never been to to watch Source Code. T’was a decent movie, just not the kind I was hoping, I guess. What’s the deal with infusing all this sci-fi with love stories nowadays, instead of with action?! GIMME SOME ACTION! I forgot how we got home that night cuz I was so tired & sleepy… but yeah, definitely a fully entertaining wknd. I wish they’d all be like this :] Seeing my favorite people~
